Battle.net is simply a web server designed by Blizzard Entertainment, it provides a way to play Starcraft with many peopla at once. With the chat feature of this serveice, we are able to form "Clans" a group of players that play together and have an organized heirarchy, usually.

In more simpler terms, battle.net is a way for Starcraft players to interact with each other and play games with more than 2 people, which is the limit of a modem.

Our clan has many members and is growing, every weekend (we try) we have a group meeting, where all the members of the group talk and meet each other and issue challenges, through these challenges we usually meet friends, who we e-mail, and try to stay in touch with outside of Battle.net.

We try to have a heirarchy to signify that some people have more responsibility in the group, but that does not mean that one person on the heirarchy cannot talk to another member.
